The Host

Oh my goodness! I could not put down this book. It was really fun to read and I felt very connected with Wanderer. I had no idea what to expect in this book but I was very satisfied with the result. Earth has been taken over by alien souls. The vast majority of the population of humans are now souls. There are a few that refused to become hosts and they have hidden out to try and save themselves. Wanderer is an alien that has been placed in a resistant host body. Melanie (the host) is a fighter and refuses to be taken over by the alien soul. She leads Wanderer to a place where there are a lot of humans. Wanderer becomes empathetic to Melanie and the humans around her. The humans start to take her as a guest among them and they develope relationships of friendship. When they trust her things start to change for her internally and she eventually deceides to make a huge sacrifice.

This book was wonderful and I can't wait for another Stephanie Meyer novel.
